(b4) (en) Today, in the trial against Natasha Verco and Noah Weiss went on with the statements of police witnesses, the reading of the trial documentation, and the final speeches of the prosecution and the defense. Shortly before 4 o’clock the judge interrupted the speech of the defense and announced to continue the trial as projected at tuesday the 31st in the morning. In her final speech the prosecutor claimed four months of prison and deportation for Natasha Verco as well as for Noah Weiss. In her opinion it was proved by the tabbed phonecalls, the police-witnesses and the statements of the accused, that Weiss and Verco organized many people to cause damages and to make violent actions against law and order and against the police, at the 14th of December last year. That those actions never happened, she found, was a proof that Noah Weiss was guilty, because he was arrested before the violent actions could be started. The explanations that the accused gave, she found, were all lies. Next week we will see, if the judges could follow her very detailed, but sometimes confusing speech, and if they share her interpretation of law.

(de) Heute ging die Verhandlung gegen Natasha Verco und Noah Weiss weiter mit den Aussagen von Polizeizeugen, der Verlesung der Prozessdokumentation und den Abschlussplädoyers. Kurz vor 4 Uhr unterbrach der Richter das Plädoyer der Verteidiger_innen und kündigte an, die Verhandlung wie geplant am Dienstag morgen, den 31. August fortzusetzen. Nun stehen noch 15 Minuten des Plädoyers der Verteidigung aus und das Urteil.

In ihrem Plädoyer forderte die Staatsanwältin 4 Monate Gefängnis und anschliessende Deportation sowohl für Natasha Verco als auch für Noah Weiss. Ihrer Meinung nach bewiesen die heimlich mitgeschnittenen Telefongespräche, die Polizeizeugen und die Aussagen der Angeklagten, dass die beiden am 14. Dezember letzten Jahres viele Menschen dazu angeleitet haben, Sachbeschädigungen zu begehen und Gewalt gegen die öffentliche Ordnung und die Polzei auszuüben. Dass diese Vorfälle niemals stattgefunden hatten, wertete sie als Beweis für die Schuld von Noah Weiss, da er rechtzeitig festgenommen worden sei, bevor die Gewalttaten ausgeführt werden hätten können. Die elklärungen der Angeklagten bezeichnete sie als Lügen. Nächste Woche werden wir sehen, ob die Richter_innen ihrem detaillierten, oft etwas Konfusen Plädoyer und ihrer Rechtsaujffassung folgen konnten.
